Hello hello hello ...
Today I'm feeling very excited is that I'm going to tell you about the Maze Runner sequel, Scorch Trials. Yes yes I'm very exciting because its my favourite moviee. Duh haha.
Anyway, today I'm going to give a review about this movie. I warn you guys, there will be spoiler, don't hate me for not warning you guys.
So, the previous movie, The Maze Runner obviously is a hit to box office and it's not a surprise and it is expected to come out the sequel. Director Wes Ball is still direct for the movie which I really admire him because that was his first directed movie and it came out so good. He is a very genius guy. Next, the cast is still the same from the previous movie that survive the Maze and Dylan o'Brien is still as hot as fuck. (sorry) and they are also join by a few new casts which is cool.
What I what to say is that, this movie as usual like the previous, is really different from the original book. I mean seriously, this time was much more serious than the first one. At least the first one was a little different around the ending and did not have any addition moment from the book. But this one, Director Wes Ball not just change the story but also a little bit of combination with the third book, The Death Cure. Okay, the book Scorch Trials was supposedly about them to move on with the next experiment after the maze which is Scorch Trials and they all have to find the Safe Haven which is they call it the Paradise to have the cure for the virus. But the movie was absolutely different. It was about them realizing the people who helped them after they escape from the maze was actually helping wicked and they manage to escape from them. Then, they want to find any human and the Right arm. Yes, the Right Arm was supposedly in Death Cure the book, but in the movie they twist the whole story.
In the movie, they went for the Scorch and obviously they will see the Cranks (same meaning as Zombie) which was affected by the virus, the Flare. Those Cranks scene were really intense and scary and shocking and I think that was really good. The storyline was pretty good too even though they change the whole story but one thing is that the whole story was not related to the movie title The Scorch Trials. Because the whole movie is about them trying to escape Wicked and hiding from them to find them and Cranks and stuff and there is no Scorch Trials going on. So, I kinda fell wrong about here.
In the book, Teresa was supposed to be disappeared and exchange the position with Aris in the beginning and Wicked only have two group of maze. But in the movie, they have tons of people from the maze and Aris is there and Teresa is there with them too. This is really a weirdest thing ever. Also, in the book Teresa and Aris betray Thomas is to let Wicked to map down his brain pattern by kissing each other because if not, Wicked will kill Thomas and after that Teresa and Aris told Thomas about that. But in the movie, after the settled in the secret location of the Right Arm, Teresa thinks helping the Wicked to find the cure is worth it and tell them their location to find them. The movie makes Teresa is the bad person but the book wasn't and I hate it. Literally.
Thomas's neck behind stated that he was supposed to be killed by Group B and almost did that in the book. The movie also did stated that Thomas was supposed to be killed by Group B but after they found the Right Arm, Harriet and Sonya from Group B became friends with Thomas immediately. See, I told you, they've changed the whole story.
But yes, there is still a little scenes where its similar from the book, like the club scene when Thomas said to Brenda " You are not her " after Brenda kissing Thomas and there is a scene Brenda and Thomas separated from their friends .... yeah.
Anyway, this is it. These are the reviews about the Maze Runner : Scorch Trials. There are still a lot more but I leave you guys go figure it out. And also thanks for spending time reading this, thank you so much. I guess to see you guys in my another next post. Bye
